Tempe Dollars for Scholars is in partnership with Arizona State University's Zero Waste Program that encourages students to "Ditch the Dumpster" and instead to donate their items at the end of each semester to be recycled and reused.  Organizations affiliated with the Ditch the Dumpster Program include Goodwill, Big Sisters/Brothers, and Sonoran Waste.  The Tempe Dollars for Scholars Board is appreciative of this partnership with ASU and the funds raised to award our Tempe Union High School Students scholarships.
